A TransEnergy

The project Transenergy started in 2010 with the co-operation of Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and Slovakia in the frame of the Central Europe Program. Its goal is to foster the enhanced utilization of transboundary geothermal energy resources. The main carrying medium of geothermal energy is groundwater, which sustainable utilization is possible only on the basis of harmonized management strategies between the neighboring countries. The main aim of the project is to provide a firm geoscientific basis for these strategies based on joint geological, hydrogeological and geothermal models.                    Further information
